Animal experimentation has been going on for the longest time now with out the government getting into trying to help us, when they should have. The government has rejected some idea’s that were presented to them once before. They would test different types of new projects that they would maybe later on use for humans and to see if they would hold up on a human, with out hurting or kill them in any type of way. Some of the different types of substances that would be tested for on the animals would be toxic drugs, human disease, test for different types of cosmetics, and household cleaners. There are important alternatives to testing.
The choices to testing would be to treat animals with the same type of respect that humans have. Also, not to eject substances that would kill or harm another living thing. The things that they do now are more inhuman than before. They inject the animals, mostly monkeys, with a disease like AIDS to see how they can treat it. They also use other types of abuse to them by sticking drugs in them. They abuse them to keep them still or to get them to eat the drugs and put chemicals or substances on them. They are treated like they were toys ready to be broken. When they are broken, or killed they couldn’t do anything about it. There’s no law’s against using them as a way of testing even though there should be. There have been more than one million animals that have been killed each year from experiments towards animals that have failed. Some of the experiments don’t even work half the time. The animals that are affected are mostly birds, rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, baboons, monkeys, gorillas, dogs, fish, cats, and pigs.
Animal testing isn’t always the best way to find out if something works. There are so many types of problems that might occur when finding the answer. Some of the different types of experiments that were tested not only failed but didn’t even really start. Scientist has tried to reproduce leukemia in mice to see how to cure them. Instead it back fired right back at them. Working around the animals that are being tested gives a higher risk to the researchers towards illnesses or even to death. Another thing that happened to go wrong was when they tried a drug called Rezulin on animals there were no signs of when they where first trying out on new types of vaccines and rabies, they happened to work very well on the animals but when it came to humans it crippled and killed people who have used them. The animals who are trying the different types of drugs aren’t as helpful as the scientists have thought they would be. The drugs that are used have different side affects on animals than humans have. One of the top side affects that humans have that didn’t show up on the animals was kidney failure.
Most of the experiments that have been done and mostly known for are rats and mice. Experiments are due them because their nothing like human beings, that makes everyone wonder if the experiments that they do could be not as affective or may be deadly to use. The scientist don’t that threw as much as they should have before they do it on the rats. The scientist should have done the experiments on something that isn’t living. It doesn’t make any since that human can choose to whether not to try an experiment well animal have no say. Animals are living creatures that deserve freedom as much as we do. I don’t believe that there is anyone who knows how much pain they have to go threw just to find out if something works for us humans. on something that is it first on something that is more human than rats are!
Using any type of animals is wrong in so many ways but if you use something that is not even close to be human it might effect us more than the mice, rats or what might have been used on it. Some of the different types of treatments that they would use on the animal would be EpiPack, which is used to clone human tissues, LD50 (LD is lethal does.) It is measured out the amount of a material given all at once. It can cause death for about half of the animals that were tested. It is measured for short-term poisoning that was in a material.
Animal testing for cosmetics is one of the many well known experiments that have been going on. Of course there are no rules or laws against putting make up on animals and there is a law that it has to be good enough and not poisoned for humans to use. This alone kills more than a million animals from poisons in the ingredients of makeup and mostly the ones who get killed are the rabbits and the mice. During the testing, most of the rabbits have broken their own necks to get away from the pain their going through.
